Owners of special equipment and diesel generators (DGS) in Uzbekistan often encounter postscripts. The machine operator writes in the report “he worked for 10 hours,” but in fact he worked for 5. The rest of the time, the equipment was turned off or simply threshed at idle (which is harmful for a diesel engine) while the driver slept in the air-conditioned cab.\n\nOur system connects to a generator, tachometer or CAN bus, recording real engine hours with an accuracy of up to a minute and divided into load modes.

Not all engine hours are created equal. It's one thing to dig a pit, another thing to idle.\n\nWe divide the engine operating time into three modes:\n• Idle: Speeds below operating speed. Waste of fuel, engine coking.\n• Operating mode: Normal load. Useful work.\n• Overload: Working at the maximum speed (risk of breakdown).\n\nYou will see in the report: “The excavator worked for 8 hours, of which 3 hours were just threshing at idle.” This is a reason to reconsider the operator’s salary.
