GPS monitoring of construction: From the pit in Tashkent to roads in the regions

A comprehensive solution for developers, general contractors and owners of special equipment. Full control of the operation of excavators, cranes, concrete mixers and dump trucks. Reduce fuel and lubricant costs by up to 30% and eliminate “left-handed” trips of equipment at facilities of any complexity.

The construction boom in Uzbekistan (from Tashkent City to the New Tashkent project) requires strict adherence to schedules. However, without telematics, expensive equipment (Shacman, MAN, XCMG, Sany) often sits idle, tons of fuel are wasted, and materials are “lost” to the side. The Wialon system turns the “black box” of construction into a transparent process. Business owners and foremen see the real picture: Was the excavator digging a trench or was the operator sleeping with the air conditioner on? Did the dump truck make 10 trips or only 5? We provide tools for total control of resources.

In the densely built conditions of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, every hour of operation of the crane and concrete pump is important. For the civil engineering sector, Wialon solves specific problems: Tower cranes: Monitoring active work time, load weight and wind force (safety). You know whether the crane is running or idle waiting for a brick. Concrete work: Monitoring the continuous pouring of the foundation. The dispatcher sees a chain of mixers in traffic jams and can adjust the intervals so that the concrete does not “stand up.” Night shifts: Automatic control of the operation of spotlights, generators and perimeter security to prevent the theft of reinforcement and cement from the construction site.

Control of concrete mixers (mixers)

Control of concrete mixers (mixers)

For concrete producers and developers, mix quality is critical. We install barrel rotation sensors that record the statuses: Loading (at the factory), Mixing (slow rotation on the way so that the concrete does not harden), Unloading (fast rotation in the opposite direction). Wialon matches this with geolocation. If “Unloading” occurred in a field on the way to the site, this is 100% proof of the theft of concrete.

Where does the money go in Uzbek construction?

Systemic problems that we help to eliminate with the help of digital control:

Fuel theft

Siphoning diesel from the tanks of excavators and bulldozers is the most common loss item. It is siphoned both at the parking lot and through the 'return line'.

Unauthorized work (Side jobs)

A dump truck driver takes your sand to a neighboring private construction site, or an excavator digs a garden in a mahalla during working hours for cash.

Engine hour padding

Operators pad the operating hours ('winders') to write off fuel and receive wages for downtime.

Equipment downtime

A rented crane stands for 4 hours out of 8 because materials were not delivered, but you pay for a full shift.

Functionality for special equipment

Tool №1

Not just 'where', but 'how'

For special equipment, mileage is not important. We install mechanisms' operation sensors. You see: whether the mixer drum was rotating, whether the excavator bucket was lowered, whether the dump truck body was raised. This distinguishes real work from idle downtime.

Full automation of the process
Instant reporting
Not just 'where', but 'how'

Benefits of the solution

Results of system implementation and value for your business:

Budget savings

Reduction of costs for fuel and lubricants and equipment rental.

Meeting deadlines

Elimination of downtime and efficient logistics.

Discipline

Photo/Video recording of drivers and identification by cards.

Security

Prevention of thefts and accidents on the site.

Have questions?

Yes. Regular sensors can fail due to fuel splashing. Wialon uses data smoothing and filtering algorithms, and during installation we use special dampers or flow meters (Daly, VZO) that count the passing fuel, ignoring the shaking.
Modern terminals have a Jamming Detection function. If the driver turns on a 'jammer', the tracker records this event, can turn on a siren or block the engine start, and also send a notification to the dispatcher as soon as the connection is restored.
Yes, we use equipment with protection class IP67/IP69K. Angle, rotation, and fuel sensors are fully sealed, resistant to pressure washing (Karcher), concrete, oil, and extreme heat.
Yes. You can require the contractor to install trackers or issue them portable autonomous GPS beacons on magnets. This will allow you to see all the equipment (your own and rented) on one screen and control the actual hours worked.
We connect to the crane's safety systems or install current sensors. This allows recording: time of operation under load, jib rotations, and even the weight of the lifted load (when integrated with standard electronics).
Yes. On special equipment (especially old), this is a common problem. In such cases, we recommend putting fuel consumption sensors (flow meters) in the line break. They count every gram that passed through the engine, making draining from the tank or return line meaningless — the difference will be immediately visible in the report.
No. We use wireless Bluetooth rotation sensors. They are attached to the mixer drum and transmit data to the tracker in the cab without wires. This is reliable and durable, as there is no risk of cable breakage.
Yes, this is standard practice for large construction companies in Uzbekistan. Data on engine hours, mileage, and fuel consumption are automatically uploaded to 1C for writing off fuel and calculating wages for operators, excluding manual entry of waybills.
