Fuel control and Antifraud

Anti-fraud control: Not a drop of diesel or methane past the tank

Comprehensive solution for detecting and preventing fuel theft. Reduce fleet costs by 30% by eliminating drains, 'cashing out' fuel cards and fraud with receipts at gas stations across Uzbekistan.

Fuel is business money, not a driver’s “bonus”

In the cost structure of a transport company in Uzbekistan, fuel costs (diesel oil, methane, gasoline) reach 50%. Without strict digital control, this article turns into a “black hole.” Drivers consider the drained fuel to be their legal increase in salary (“cap”).\n\nThe Wialon system makes the process transparent. We compare three indicators:\n• How much was purchased (by checks or cards).\n• How much got into the tank (by sensors).\n• How much actually burned (by engine load).\n\nThe difference is your direct losses, which we find and eliminate.

High-precision sensors (FLS) versus the “ruler”

The standard arrow on the Isuzu or MAN instrument panel has an error of up to 15% and does not show drainage when parked when the ignition is turned off.\n\nWe install digital capacitive fuel level sensors (FLS) in tanks.\n• Accuracy: Recording changes in volume with an accuracy of 1-2 liters.\n• Technology: Wialon algorithms filter fuel fluctuations (“chumpiness”) on our roads, giving a clean graph.\n\nYou see every refueling (time, place, volume) and every drain, even if the driver drained in a thin stream all night.

Popular theft schemes in Uzbekistan

The ingenuity of drivers knows no bounds. Our system helps to identify and prove the most common types of local fraud:

Return drain

Inserting a tee into the fuel line. The fuel is poured into the canister while on the move during the flight. Relevant for old KAMAZ vehicles and new special equipment.

Cashing out cards

The driver fills up someone else’s car (a taxi driver or a friend) at a gas station with his corporate card, and takes the money in cash into his pocket.

Underfilling Methane

CNG filling stations (Metan zapravka) often pump gas under low pressure or with air. The driver pays for a full tank, but drives less.

Cheating the odometer

Using “twists” (pulse generators) to artificially increase mileage and write off fuel at a rate on a non-existent route.

Anti-fraud analytics tools

Option #1

Visualization of theft

A visual graph: the fuel level drops sharply, although the car is stationary. The system highlights this place on the map with a red marker and sends an alarm to Telegram.

Gasoline control in passenger cars

On passenger cars (Chevrolet Cobalt, Gentra, Tracker) installing mortise sensors in the tank is difficult and unsafe.\n\nWe use contactless reading of the CAN bus. The system receives data directly from the car's on-board computer:\n• Fuel level in % (standard sensor).\n• Total consumption by injectors (ml).\n• Engine speed and exact mileage.\n\nThis allows you to control gasoline consumption without drilling the tank and violating the GM Uzbekistan warranty.

Questions about this service

Difficult. We seal the sensor, connectors and tank with numbered seals. Any intervention (power outage, pouring boiling water, shock) is recorded by the system as a “Sabotage” event.
Drivers often buy receipts at the highway. Wialon solves this simply: you pay only for the fuel that actually got into the tank according to the sensor. If the driver brought a receipt for 200 liters, but the sensor showed a fill of 150 liters, the difference is not paid.
Yes, diesel expands when heated. Our sensors have built-in thermal compensation, and program algorithms level out temperature expansion, showing the correct volume in winter and summer.
An ordinary “ruler” will not fit into the cylinder. We install a pressure sensor in the high pressure line. This allows you to see refills and consumption with sufficient accuracy to detect theft.
The level sensor will see that fuel consumption has become abnormally high for the current speed. The system will mark this section of the track as “Suspected drain” or “Increased consumption”.
Yes. Modern sensors are suitable for metal and plastic tanks of any shape. The main thing is to carry out the correct calibration (calibration) after installation.
For freight transport (trucks, dump trucks), the fuel control system pays for itself in 1-2 months. On a passenger fleet (taxi) - in 3-4 months due to the exclusion of “left” flights and mileage increases.
