We started with GPS trackers on vehicles. Today we are taking the next step — into space. GOGPS is launching a satellite services direction together with Azercosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
For our clients this means access to infrastructure that until recently seemed reserved for governments and telecom giants: geostationary communication satellites, Earth imagery from space, a certified teleport and space-industry education programs.
Who is Azercosmos
Azercosmos is Azerbaijan's first and only satellite operator, granted the status of the national space agency in 2021. Today the agency operates a constellation of three satellites — the telecommunications satellites Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2 and the Earth observation satellite Azersky — as well as the region's only WTA-certified teleport.

What this means for business in Uzbekistan
Connectivity where there is none
A quarry in the mountains, a field site in the Kyzylkum desert, a highway with no cellular coverage — classic "dead zones" for terrestrial networks. Azercosmos satellite communications cover them with a single beam: VSAT terminals provide internet, telephony and IoT/M2M telemetry at any remote site. For operators and broadcasters — backbone channels, DTH broadcasting and video content distribution.

Earth observation is analytics built on satellite imagery: crop condition via the Farmer App, construction control, monitoring of deforestation and water resources. The Azercosmos GIS Center processes imagery with AI algorithms — from building and vehicle detection to image super-resolution.
For agro-holdings this is the logical continuation of what we already do with Hecterra and GPS monitoring of agricultural machinery: satellite imagery now joins the tracker data.
Ground infrastructure and expertise
Satellite operators and broadcasters get access to Ground Station as a Service — co-location, uplink and TT&C at the certified teleport in Baku, without capital investment in their own infrastructure. And training and consultancy programs transfer the experience of an operating satellite company to businesses and government bodies developing their own space competencies.
Space as an investment in the future
A special part of the partnership is education. The SPACE Academy runs CanSat olympiads, NASA Space Apps hackathons, summer schools and internships, training the next generation of space specialists. Together with the R&D direction — from an in-house thermal vacuum chamber to hosting the IAC 2023 International Astronautical Congress in Baku — this makes Azercosmos the center of space expertise for the entire region.
