For the first time in Azerbaijan, Azercosmos engineers designed, built and tested a thermal vacuum chamber (TVAC) reproducing the thermal and vacuum conditions of space, optimized for CubeSats and small satellite payloads.

Azercosmos not only operates satellites but also develops technologies: for the first time in Azerbaijan, its engineers designed and tested a thermal vacuum chamber (TVAC) reproducing space conditions to test spacecraft. Work spans mechanics, electronics and software engineering.
The direction's strength lies in international cooperation with ICESCO, Intelsat, Turksat and Measat and membership in the IAF and GSOA. Hosting the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2023) in Baku with 5,410 delegates from 132 countries cemented the agency's role as a notable player in the global space industry.
